White Prince Mushrooms specialises in the production & sales of fresh mushrooms. We have 5 farms supplying approximately 150 000 kgs of mushrooms per week, of which 3 are owned & operated by the Tolson family.

Situated in the Hawkesbury/Penrith area, Northwest of Sydney, the Tolson family is one of the most advanced mushroom producers in the world. We have a sound history of growth over the past 50 years. If combining our families farms, we are the largest privately owned mushroom producer in Australia and the second largest overall. We supply mushrooms of excellence to the Australian and overseas markets. Our mushrooms have a longer shelf life than our competitors and we supply a broader range of mushroom from small buttons to jumbo flats. Post harvest skills and technology play a major role in our success. We rely on well trained harvesters to maximise our mushroom harvest. We conduct an intensive three month harvest training course for new harvesters. We believe we have the best harvesters in the Australian industry. Following harvesting, the mushrooms are vacuum cooled, refrigerated and sent to our customers in refrigerated air bag suspension trucks. This ensures the mushrooms reach the customer in prime condition. Mushrooms used to be grown outdoors in the cooler months of the year which made them a seasonal product, but now due to advances in technology they are grown indoor ensuring year round crops.

White Prince is an experienced exporter of fresh mushrooms. We successfully export to some of the toughest markets in Asia. We can have fresh mushrooms in Asian retail stores within 36 hours of harvesting. This commitment to excellence has gained us a highly commended award at the NSW exporters awards.
